Het grote Mexicaanse talent Diego Lainez weet waar hij naartoe wilt. Hij wil namelijk zijn carriere vervolgen bij Ajax. De Mexicanen houden vast aan een vraagprijs van ongeveer 12 miljoen euro, waar de Amsterdammers naar verluidt niet meer dan 10 miljoen euro willen betalen.
Het verschil tussen vraag en aanbod lijkt niet al te groot te zijn, maar volgens de krant Récord lijkt het er niet op dat er snel een akkoord zal worden gevonden. Dat is weer tegen het zere been van Lainez, die ontzettend graag naar de Johan Cruijff ArenA wil transfereren en het trainingskamp van de Eredivisie-topclub in de Verenigde Staten wil meemaken. De jongeling liet eerder al weten dat hij zijn zinnen had gezet op een overstap richting onze hoofdstad en dat is momenteel niet anders.
Op een ander front heeft Ajax duidelijk meer succes, want Lisandro Magallán lijkt op zeker een meerjarig contract bij Ajax te gaan tekenen. De Amsterdammers betalen volgens de laatste geluiden iets meer dan 9 miljoen euro voor de centrumverdediger van Boca Juniors.
