Dat Frenkie de Jong een voorkeur heeft voor FC Barcelona is al langer bekend maar nu komt het Franse Telefoot met opmerkelijk nieuws. Hij zou naar PSG gaan.
En inmiddels draagt men ook vanuit Engeland een steentje bij aan de soap. Daar schrijft men namelijk dat De Jong in aller eerste instantie het liefst naar Manchester City wilde, om te spelen onder de door hem zo geliefde trainer Josep Guardiola.
De Jong zou voornamelijk in de speelwijze van de Spaanse tiki taka-maestro geloven, en zou naar verluidt ‘kapot zijn geweest’ van het feit dat de Citizens zich uiteindelijk terug trokken uit de race om zijn diensten. De Premier League-kampioen weigerde nog langer mee te doen aan de enorme bidding war rond De Jong: die is inmiddels opgelopen tot een bedrag van zeker 70 miljoen euro.
